Naime Tom O’Ome
Naime is a Professional Accountant and Business Consultant primarily working with Micro, Small, and Medium Business Enterprises in Papua New Guinea. He is a registered Public Accountant and currently serves as the Principal of SBC Solutions, a nationally-owned second-tier Accounting Firm operating in Papua New Guinea since June 2000.
Having obtained a master's in professional accounting from the Divine Word University of PNG, Naime is a qualified Accountant. He holds the position of Associate Member of CPA Papua New Guinea and a professional member of the PNG Institute of Directors. Additionally, he serves as a Commissioner of Oaths in Papua New Guinea.
Previously, Naime worked at Coopers & Lybrand and later joined PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers) from January 1993 to November 2003, starting as a Clerk and progressing to an Accountant. Since December 2003, he has been associated with SBC Solutions (formerly Star Business Consultants) and has held various senior positions within the firm. In 2010, he became a Partner of the firm. With over 28 years of business advisory experience, Naime specializes in Accounting, Taxation, Corporate Finance, and Business Consulting Services, particularly within the extractive mining, oil and gas projects in PNG. His expertise includes establishing new companies, joint business ventures, setting up accounting systems, management accounting, financial accounting, taxation compliance, business acquisitions, bank funding, and providing practical business advice.
Currently, Naime serves as a director for Telikom PNG Limited, TWL Energy Ventures Limited, Star Management Services Limited, HG Consulting Group Limited, Natko Investments Limited, and Amazon Bay Cocoa Corporation Limited. Additionally, he fulfills the role of company secretary for Trans Wonderland Limited and is the Treasurer and executive member of the MSME Council Inc. Furthermore, Naime holds the position of Treasurer within the City of Glory Church in Port Moresby, where he also serves as an executive member. In his philanthropic endeavors, he volunteers as the Chair of the Council for Scripture Union Papua New Guinea.
