Chief Technical Officer – Port Moresby
We’re looking for a leader to drive our technical vision, ensuring network excellence, and leading the engineering and ICT strategy to meet our ambitious business objectives. This key executive role reports directly to our CEO.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic planning, development, and implementation of technical and engineering initiatives.
- Oversee the performance and continuous improvement of Core and Access Network operations.
- Ensure network infrastructure aligns with business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Manage vendor relationships and technical project execution.
- Drive cost-effective solutions while managing CapEx and OpEx budgets.
- Build, mentor, and develop high-performing technical teams.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.
Education and experience requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Communications Engineering or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of senior management experience in telecommunications or ICT.
- Expertise in telecommunications infrastructure, network architecture, and cybersecurity.
- Proven leadership in managing large-scale technical operations and projects.
- Strong analytical, financial, and decision-making capabilities.
- Membership in a recognised professional body (e.g., PNG Institute of Engineers) is an advantage.
